Approval of the Operational Programmes 2014-2020
The Ministry of Development and Competitiveness, announces that the Operational Programmes for the new programming period 2014-2020 were signed, by the Commissioners for Regional Policy and Social Affairs, The two Commissioners approved all the programs presented by the country and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Cohesion Fund (CF).
The total, that is, of European funds from which the country in 2014-2020 will benefit along with national participation will exceed 26 billion. €. These amounts do not include an estimated amount of about 2 billion. € which will be distributed in the country and its regions in 2016 based on the process of so-called 'review clause'. The sectors which are given priority and are expected to have greater participation in economic growth as industry, tourism, energy and agri-food system.
